High Efficiency Diffusion |
|
|
Bright View's ACEL™ diffusers employ a fully
refractive design for highly efficient light management. This
non-absorbing design provides lower loss than traditional
diffusers employing bulk materials (cloudy plastics) and is
available on a wide range of substrate materials and thicknesses.
Transmission ranges from 92% to 97% per the industry standard ASTM
D1003 measurement technique.* However, it is the on-luminaire
performance that matters most - our comprehensive data sheets
provide information that will help your designer define the
relationships between luminaire design, transmission, and light

Source Hiding and Homogenization |
|

 ACEL™ diffusers offer outstanding homogenization of
light on a luminaire surface, including color mixing. Our flagship
C1-85 diffuser solves the most difficult LED-hiding problems while
maintaining industry-leading efficiency. We also offer diffusers
which provide efficient far-field color mixing and homogenization
for PAR and other narrow-angle luminaires |

Beam Angle Management |
|
|
 ACEL™ is available in a full range of diffusion
strengths (i.e. beam angles) for management of luminaire light
distributions and glare control. Our fully-prescriptive designs
allow us to offer diffusers with symmetric, elliptical, and
asymmetric responses. Our new bilateral diffusers allow designers
to create desirable flat-field illumination across a wide area,
eliminating the central hot spot and increasing luminaire
coverage. Coming soon: new lensing technology which enables light
steering and diffusion in a single element - making possible a
collimating diffuser which combines the functionality of a Fresnel
lens and a diffuser to provide a smooth narrow beam with a
well-mixed far-field pattern. |
